We have chosen to start with a monologue which will be a voice over.
Then we will have a small section of dialogue. This is what the female protagonist is going to be saying:
Leola: You might think I'm a little dressed up for going to sixth form. In
reality, its my first day. I'm Leola. An average 17 year old. Well. I say
average. I don't get invited to parties. When I do, it’s always me sat in the
corner, trying to get involved but really, just wanting to go home. I have
always been the outsider with my dad's job changing what feels like every week,
it means I have new schools to go to all the time. Once I start getting
settled, I pack up and move yet again. That's why I'm still single. Never had a
boyfriend because I don't want to get too attached. So here I am. A not so
average 17 year old waiting for the bus. I mean.....
She looks across the road to notice an attractive male. He notices her back but carries on walking.
(The film carries on with Leola's journey to sixth form)
Leola: (Under her breath) this place is a dump.
Miranda: (bubbly) Hi. My name is Miranda! Are you new?
Leola: Yeah.
Miranda: Well let me show you around. What's your first lesson?
Leola: English.
Miranda: Snap! Come on. I’ll show you.
Leola: Okay....
(Walking down the corridor)
Miranda: mimes a conversation
(In the classroom)
Miranda: Come and sit next to me.
Leola: Thanks.
(Leola looks towards the door)
Miranda: That's Alex. Every girls dream.
Leola: Oh...
(Alex notices her and smirks. They both turn away)
(Miranda waves at him and he waves back)
Leola: Oh. You know him?
