New pitch idea

In our opening two minutes, there will be a female protagonist, a male protagonist and their friends. The female protagonist is making her way to her new school where it is her first day. She spots a man across the road and they both glance at each other. There will be a scene at the bus stop where they glance at each other again. Then once the girl gets off the bus, she walks into her collage. She then sits down where she attracts new people to her. She already knows one person in her new school and she brings over a small group of people to meet her. They then head of to class where the male protagonist is sitting at the front. The female protagonist joins her friend at the back of the classroom where she notices him looking back at her. Once he notices that she saw him he immediately turns back around to face the front. The male protagonist hides his emotions towards the girl.

Throughout the rest of the film, the two get paired together for a presentation where they quickly become close. There is a group of girls which spread rumours around that they are together which causes him to become disgusted, acting like he doesn't like her. This causes her to become upset because she thought that he liked her. They stop talking until he comes to her and tells her his true feelings.

During the opening, there will be a voice over which describes the female protagonist and how she is feeling on her first day. There will be a small section of dialogue between the female protagonist and her friend. When they are in class the voice over returns. The voice over is effective because it will be like the female protagonist is talking directly to the audience. The audience will gain a sense of the characteristics and personality of the female protagonists.

Some props which we are going to use is:
  • A school bag
  • A bus
  • A bus stop
  • A sixth form collage
  • Books and folder
The possible settings which we plan on using is a street which is quiet, this could be as she is leaving her house in the morning on her way to school. She then arrives at the bus stop where she sees the male protagonist. Once she is off the bus, she walks down another street and enters her collage. We will be using Therfield Sixth Form for the collage because we both attend here and is the best option for us. We will then need a classroom where the male protagonist will sit at the front and the female protagonist is at the back.

The possible camera angles that we will be using are a variety of close ups of the two protagonist, this allow the audience to be introduce the appearance of the character, and also be using these close ups will also show the protagonist facial expressions. Medium shots will be shown of the protagonist, and the location of the opening, so that the audience can see where the setting of the film is. long shot of the bus stop scene, we will also have shot reverse shot of the protagonist looking at each other. there will more camera angles and they will be listed in the post called 'Shot list'
