Mood board

This is the mood board which we have created. We have included pictures which link to the conventions of a romance film and what will link to our film. We first have Jeremy Irvine who is portraying our attractive male. He looks well presented but with the ear piercing he could be more of a laid back and scruffy guy. We then have used Nina Dobrev who portrays our attractive female. She have a very casual make up look which is something which we are looking for because it fits in with the school setting. We also have included a jealous looking female, which is a convention in a romance as they will be the person who will try and split them up. We then have a common room as the setting we will be using is a college and so the common room will be featured. The center is a love heart to show that the film is a romance and it is made out of roses to connote love. We also have white roses because the colour white connotes purity and innocence which is what the female is. We then have 2 other possible settings which are a park and a London setting. These are both well known to the audience so that they can relate. These are also popular settings within a romance film. Also, we have George Clooney as the strong protective dad for the female. This is a typical feature which is often found in romance films. Lastly, we have people holding hands to connote love and passion. This is always shown in romance films because holding hands is something every couple does and so the audience can relate.
